About

I study physical systems by simulation methods. I am currently working on Integrated Computational Materials Engineering at The University of Melbourne and developing a phase-field modelling capability in the CSIRO Materials and process modelling group. In the past I have worked on coarse-grained models of Janus particles, and crystal free-energy calculations within the hard-sphere limit. I code in several languages (C/C++, Java, Python, Fortran, HTML/CSS/PHP) and develop software to address problems in statistical physics and engineering. At present I am developing a phase-field method for modelling the rapid solidification process observed in the additive manufacturing of metals. I am also in the process of developing a real-time strategy PC game using Unreal 4.
